Coloring books are still in huge demand, no doubt about that. Even today with 1000s of titles being released on Amazon you can still carve a niche if you are prepared to dig a little deeper and search for those hidden niches.
The biggest dilemma most people face is WHAT to create. Or what niche they should focus on.
Along with a process for creating them, which if you’re not an artist or designer can be daunting.
You have to:
- find the right subject
- create the graphics
- compile the book
- publish
- market your book
All these things need to be considered and if you go the outsourcing route can be expensive, right?
It doesn’t need to be.

3. Compiling the book
A lot of programs teach you to use Canva (link) to compile your books and of course you can do this. It is entirely free to use, or you can take out a subscription for around $11 a month which gives you access to an even bigger library of elements, graphics, videos and more.
However, the free version is more than adequate to begin with. You will need to create the pages separately, then download and add a cover, which you can also create in Canva.
